3.24.2012 {Nila + Josh: New Meets Old Wedding}

Venue: The Bonnet House ~ Caterer: CA Catering ~ Photographer:  Edward Linsmier/Select Ceremony Photography ~ Videographer: C&I Studios ~ Florist: Blondevents ~ Linen & Rentals:  Panache Party Rentals ~ Lighting:  Uplyte ~ Tent & Stage: Platinum Tents ~ Ceremony Music: Juan Areco ~ Reception Music: Brett Foreman Band ~ Cake: A Piece of Cake by Elena ~ Invitations: DM Paper Design ~ Hair & Make Up: Lori Cleary

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The paper said it, “Saturday, March 24, 2012”.

The invitations had been sent.

The bride wore her “new” dress…

…and carried her bouquet of “antique” brooches…

…as she walked down the aisle.

The Bride & Groom paid homage to their heritage with hints of Asian influence.

The ceremony was “sealed with a kiss!”

After the ceremony, the couple had a private moment together.

And took photos with the groomsmen…

…bridesmaids…

…and with the wildlife!

All while guests enjoyed cocktails in the beautiful courtyard.

Using a “traditional” frame, we displayed “modern” caricatures of all of the guests created by a local art student to to serve as placecards.

Guests laughed and searched for their placecard…

…happy to finally find it!

“Traditional” Vietnamese Lion Dancers lead guests from the courtyard into the dinner tent.

And posed with the happy couple!

The dining tent combed new & old elements. Modern square tables covered in deep purple linen were used.  For the centerpieces, we brought in varying crystal vases with a single purple orchid in each and votive candle holders set on antique silver platters. The tent was washed in purple up lighting with traditional white paper lanterns strung over the dance floor.

“The First Dance”

Followed by the cake cutting…

…and the bride’s surprise cake for her groom!

“Father/Daughter Dance”

Guests danced the night away to the sounds of the Brett Foreman Band!

The nighted end with a “goodnight kiss”.
